Utility-grade GIS, built for the regulator's deadline.
Asset-register modernization for water, power, gas and telecom networks.
The buyer’s problem.
UK water companies face Ofwat AMP8 digitisation mandates. US water utilities have IIJA money sitting in the bank and procurement teams that can't move it fast enough. Telecom and power operators are stitching together ten years of acquired networks in spreadsheets. Every one of them needs a GIS that the regulator and the field crew both trust.
The work, concretely.
- 01
PostGIS-backed asset registers, network topologies and outage models.
- 02
Field-crew mobile applications — work orders, GPS tracking, evidence capture, offline-first.
- 03
Operational dashboards that map AMP8 / IIJA / regulatory KPIs against live network state.
- 04
Integration with existing SCADA, billing, CIS and work-order systems via REST and message queues.
- 05
Delivered against fixed regulatory deadlines, not 'when the platform team gets to it'.
Buyers who came in for utility & infrastructure GIS usually need these too.
The questions every buyer asks before the second call.
We answer them up front so the second call is about the work.
- Q01Where is the data stored?
- Your environment. The platform deploys into your AWS, Azure, GCP or on-prem network — never ours. UK clients deploy in UK regions (London / Manchester) with full UK GDPR data-residency guarantees. We hold no asset data, no operational telemetry and no customer PII outside your environment.
- Q02How does this integrate with our existing Esri / Cadcorp / Smallworld stack?
- Two patterns, chosen per engagement. Either we sit alongside the legacy GIS — ingesting from it via Esri REST / WFS / shapefile / GDB exports and writing back through the same APIs, so your analysts keep their workflows. Or we run a phased migration, retiring legacy modules on a published timeline. Both patterns have been delivered.
- Q03Can you commit to AMP8 / PR24 / IIJA reporting deadlines?
- Yes. Every utilities engagement is scoped against a published regulatory milestone with contractual delivery dates. We don't accept open-ended engagements in this vertical — the deadline is the project. Phased delivery into the regulator's evidence cycle is standard.
- Q04What about SCADA / CIS / work-order system integration?
- Standard work. We've integrated with Maximo, IFS, Click, ServiceNow, Oracle Utilities CC&B, SAP IS-U and bespoke SCADA historians via OPC-UA, MQTT and REST / message queues. The pattern is consistent: the GIS becomes the spatial source of truth; downstream systems consume from it on a published contract.
- Q05What's the smallest engagement you'll take?
- $20K single-network discovery — one utility (water / power / gas / telecom), one geographic boundary, two-week deliverable: target-state architecture, asset-data audit and a fixed-price plan for the build. The point of starting small is to learn whether scaling is the right call.
- Q06Who owns the IP and what jurisdiction governs the contract?
- You own everything we build for you — code, models, derived datasets and operational dashboards. We retain rights only to the underlying open-source platform and our pre-existing libraries. Contract jurisdiction is your choice: US (Delaware default), UK (England & Wales) or India. Standard MSAs in all three; NDAs signed within 24 hours of request.
